The Weight of Departures

Who could have known

that love—so vast, so certain—

could shrink into a single breath,

a single pause between words,

a single request for space?

Space. Time.

Clever disguises for distance,

for undoing what once felt infinite.

I let him go,

not because I wanted to,

but because love is not a thing you hold hostage.

And yet, as he walked away,

a quiet terror curled its fingers around my ribs.

Why? Why did his voice crack

like a door being closed?

Why did those words taste like endings?

He left,

and in the time it took for silence to settle,

he found another—

as if love were something you could trade,

as if hearts were interchangeable,

as if I were nothing more than a season

he had outgrown.

And suddenly, the grief was no longer soft.

It became sharp, loud, relentless,

more brutal than the first ache of his absence.

I understand now.

Not just why he left,

but why we unraveled.

A year is not a measure of depth.

Love does not thrive in immaturity,

in restless hands, in moods that shift

like the tide.

We were children playing with fire,

mistaking the burn for passion,

believing love could withstand

our recklessness.

But despite it all,

despite the ruin, the loss, the leaving—

what I felt was real.

What I gave was whole.

And so, I do not curse the past,

nor do I wait for its return.

If we are meant to meet again,

let it be as strangers

who have learned the language of love

without fear, without flight.

Until then, I carry only this:

the quiet knowing that I was here,

that I loved,

that I was never the one who ran.

The Rise of the Forsaken

You taught me to soar,
to stretch my trembling wings,
to carve my name into the sky—
and I believed in you, blindly, wholly.

We flew together, chasing the heavens,
riding the winds like gods,
until the stars bowed beneath our feet—
until I trusted you more than gravity itself.

But when I spoke, when I bared my soul,
you veered away without a trace,
left me alone in endless air,
wings faltering, heart caving in.

Everything you gave me,
every whisper of wisdom,
burned to ash in a single breath,
and I fell—silent, forgotten, betrayed.

I plunged into the abyss,
drowning in the blue of my sorrow,
dragged under by the weight of your ghost,
lost in waters too deep to escape.

But the depths did not devour me.
The dark did not claim me.
Instead, it reforged me—
fury carving fire into my veins,
vengeance sharpening my bones to steel.

And when I rose from the wreckage,
I was no longer the fool who trusted.
I was no longer the wing you clipped.
I was the storm, the hunter, the reckoning.

You left me to fall,
but now I rise as something greater.
Not the fragile thing you abandoned—
but a beast with wings of fire,
and a heart that will never break again.

The Hollow Man Who Loved

They say life is nothing without love—
without the soft weight of a hand in yours,
the quiet understanding in another’s gaze,
the feeling that, for once, you are not alone.

But for him, love was only a rumor,
a song sung by voices not his own,
a language his lips could not form,
a warmth his skin had never known.

He watched it bloom in others—
felt it pass by like a phantom breeze,
brushed against it in passing glances,
envied its glow from the edges of existence.

And yet, love never knocked at his door.

He wrote of it in trembling ink,
sang it in borrowed melodies,
whispered its name into the hollow night,
but love did not answer.

Perhaps it was never meant to.

Born into hands that did not want him,
held by arms that did not stay,
he learned young that love was a ghost,
a myth that haunted the lucky.

To him, love was stagnant water,
murky, still, rotting beneath the surface.
A thing spoken of in poetry and prayers,
but never something he could hold.

Yet he did not curse the ones who left him empty.
No—he simply accepted the silence,
let loneliness settle into his skin,
let the ache of absence carve itself into his bones.

Years passed like a slow funeral march,
each moment a candle flickering, fading.
Time became his only witness,
his only god, his only shadow.

And then—one day—he almost found it.
A flicker, a taste, a fleeting glimpse of warmth.
For a moment, he stood in the light,
felt love’s hands brush against his weary soul.

But love, like the wind, is a cruel thing.
It does not linger for the lost.

And so, he stitched his solitude into armor,
let the weight of his loneliness become his crown.
He learned to stand in the darkness,
to make a home in the quiet ruin of himself.

Yet even now, he dares to believe.
Not in the love he was never given,
not in the hands that never reached for him,
but in the love he still holds,
fragile and aching,
for a world that never loved him first.

Fading Into Never

I was born unchained,
bathed in warmth,
wrapped in love,
woven with purpose—so they said.

I was given hands to build,
a heart to feel,
a voice to be heard,
a soul to matter.

And I believed it.

I ran toward life with open arms,
drank from its cup,
danced in its fleeting light,
and begged the world to let me stay.

I climbed toward dreams that once burned in the sky,
stars I swore were meant for me,
only to have them dim at my touch,
turning to ash between my fingers.

I asked for nothing but love,
offered everything in return—
but love was a mirage,
a whisper that vanished before it ever reached me.

Then the world turned—
sinking its claws into my flesh,
splintering my bones,
tearing the light from my hands.

I screamed, but the echoes never returned.
I reached, but the hands I held let go.
I loved, but love never stayed.

So here I stand, hollowed out,
a body without warmth,
a name without meaning,
a soul too tired to beg for more.

They say fate is cruel,
but maybe fate was never mine to shape.
Maybe I was always meant to break.

So let "goodbye" be my final rebellion,
let the weight slip from my bones,
let the silence welcome me home—
for only the dark has never left me.

Fading Echoes

I don’t know where to begin,
now that the ashes settle thin.
Was it fate or just the tide?
One blink—gone, like a landslide.

Should I curse myself for loving too deep,
for drowning in a promise I swore to keep?
I wear this sorrow like a noose,
a fool trapped in a lover’s ruse.

You told me never to stray too far,
so I stayed—held captive in your arms.
Through raging storms and hollow days,
I bled devotion, I burned in faith.

You swore that I was yours to hold,
to shape, to mend, to love, to mold.
That through the dark, you’d light my way,
never falter, never stray.

But shadows shift, and hearts decay,
you vanished into yesterday.
I can’t despise the ghost of you,
but darling, one day… so will you.

In search of True Love

Life would not be this beautiful if no one dared to give love, share innermost thoughts, see the presence of his existence and reciprocate that same feeling which gives a man contentment and happiness in his life - just like this man I have known.

Honestly, life for this man has been living a life without feeling this LOVE which he envied in his colleagues. Love was a wonderful thing, he knew.

TRUE LOVE - what did it mean for him? He really didn't understand, he really didn't know. He kept writing and singing songs about LOVE, but he couldn't find it in himself. Foolishness isn't it?

He thought that maybe it was due to the fact that he was born "unwanted" and "unloved." He figured this was why his life was upside down.

He grew up envisioning LOVE as blurred water, stagnant and stinking. "It is nonsense, useless, nothing at all." But even with this feeling of desperation, confusion and hatred, he could not blame his parents or even the people involved in his life. He guessed and believed that "The things given here should remain as they are."

Time, space, days, years, were his final resort, believing that GOD was there for him. The moment of his life he had spent all by himself, carrying the loneliness, fear, and a growing doubt in his intelligence and a capacity to grow and live his life.

In searching for his real identity as a human, he wanted to become a good person who was content with everything he had.

He knew it was not the end of all. There was a time when he was able to recognize what love was; what it should be for a person and how it should be appreciated. It was kind of feeling of which he almost never wanted to get out.

But everything that he went through was just a mere taste of what LOVE was, like the wind. He knew that he had to do something to heal the wounds that he was nursing. He had to help himself, since he was not one of those people in the world who could carry too much burden.

Until now, as he continue searching for this LOVE and the kind of belonging he wanted to have, his loneliness and strangeness as a person hid the immense goodness that he bore.

He decided to live the kind of life he had to the full and enjoy every single part and minute of it. He would no longer worry about the direction of his life in both its rational and irrational natures. For he believed that he could make it. He believed that he could make himself be loved. And he believed that he could love, not just one person, but all of mankind.
